all walks of life nh listens

Whether you are concerned about adequate services, costs, stress on the state’s infrastructure, or someone you love, mental health and substance abuse affects every corner of the Granite State. Now, for the first time, stakeholders from policy leaders and administrators to family members and consumers will come together to talk about how to create a healthier state.

Join regional gatherings across New Hampshire on Thursday November 14 that will
get our state talking,
change misperceptions,
and shape solutions to promote healthier communities.

We hope you can join us. Register here or call 862-0692 and spread the word.

This event is part of a national conversation. The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Service Administration (SAMHSA) is working this year with partners across the country to elevate and coordinate community conversations as part of a national conversation on behavioral health, launched by the White House, in coordination with the US Department of Health and Human Services and the US Department of Education. The goals stressed by SAMHSA include the following:

  • Get Americans talking about behavioral health to break down misperceptions and promote recovery and healthy communities;
  • Find innovative community-based solutions to behavioral needs, with a focus on helping young people; and
  • Develop clear action steps for communities to move forward in a way that complements existing local activities.
